Details

A tribute to the work of Eduardo Chillida, this model is a beautiful exercise in reliefs, the intention of recreating the artist's typical Corten steel sculptures and specifically his work Gravitación 1994 made with paper.

Translated with the utmost accuracy, Gravitación 1994 is an indoor rug hand-woven with New Zealand wool and silk using the hand tufted technique.

Fibers

57% New Zealand Wool

Typically, New Zealand wool is known to be the whitest, cleanest, purest and most natural wool in the world. Its softness is due in part to the altitude and the vegetation available to the herds. It is guaranteed to be cruelty-free.

43% Silk

Silk is a highly resistant fiber and provides exceptional softness and a luxurious shine. It reflects light and amplifies colors to jewel-like intensity.

Technique

Hand knotted

Manual weaving made on a vertical loom where the thread is held tightly to the warp using knots.
