Oblique

Matthew Hilton

Its design, determined by the two differentiated planes, has been achieved thanks to the mixture of techniques and generation of textures. A subtle rug that, through geometric play, adds volume to its surroundings.

The Oblique collection, designed by Matthew Hilton, is based on the elegance of simplicity. A commitment to sober graphics and colors that bring us closer to the earth.

To design this collection, Anglo-Saxon Mathew Hilton conceptualized the tradition of layering rugs in its most contemporary version. A proposal achieved through the juxtaposition of oblique figures in different positions that generates a geometric game while providing volumetry to its surroundings.

Oblique is handwoven with 100% Afghan wool. The different heights have been achieved thanks to the mixture of two techniques: hand knotted and sumak, to create two overlapping pieces with different pile heights. The result, four rugs with four different patterns. Depending on its arrangement in space, it can accompany very different furniture distributions.

A collection of elegant and subtle rugs that, with their minimalist design, make them easy to fit into any space. Color remains an important element of the design but a warm palette of powdery tones including pink, beige, gray and ocher has been chosen; earthy colors that harmonize naturally, creating bright, fresh and current spaces.
