This was our time at Salone del Mobile 2022
nanimarquina has presented five new products at Salone del Mobile 2022, including the protagonist of the stand: Re-Rug . A collection that was born from the desire to take advantage of the leftover wool generated by nanimarquina suppliers.
The stand, a new way of seeing waste, was an example of transparency and sustainability. Designed by ARQUITECTURA-G , it was divided into two different spaces. The main space was made up of mountains of wool, the actual sample of the wool recovered to design Re-Rug. And the second space, smaller in size, was a place where you could see the new collections first-hand. From Tones by Claudia Valsells, Troupe by Jaime Hayon to Tiles and Ceras by Nani Marquina. We also present the new pouf models, Tres pouf Outdoor and Shade Pouf Outdoor , which were created to respond to the strong demand for seats also for outdoor use.
Transparency has been a constant in nanimarquina's sustainability policy: informing where, how, who, with what materials or in which country each rug is made. This year we have also committed to growing our positive impact by obtaining the Climate Neutral certificate. Through a measurement program, we have established an annual reduction plan that allows us to continue reducing CO2 emissions year after year. And to get net emissions to zero, we have implemented an offset plan consisting of a series of independent projects audited by the Gold Standard.
It should be noted that the wool stacked at the stand, in addition to fully offsetting the CO2 footprint generated for its transportation, will be delivered to the Catalan company Iaios to manufacture sweaters.
