Milton Glaser

Illustrator and designer known for his designs for records and books, such as the famous Bob Dylan logo or the famous 'I ♥ NY' logo. He was the first designer to be awarded the National Medal of the Arts.

Glaser studied at the well-known Cooper Union between 1948 and 1951 to continue his training at the Academy of Fine Arts of Bologna with the painter Giorgio Morandi. He founded the Push Pin Studio with Seymour Chwast to create his own company in 1974.

He has created more than 300 posters, including the famous one of Bob Dylan, a symbol of the sixties. Glaser has dedicated himself to editorial design and corporate identity. In the first field, he has worked for publications such as Paris Macht, L'Express, Esquire or Village Voice and La Vanguardia to make a change in this publication coinciding with his move to color.

In 2009, he was the first graphic designer to be awarded the National Medal of the Arts.
